Yes, I'm behind again. Can I blame the time change? Four films last weekend.
First, Jayalal's Dhanyam:
I'm always wary of films that I can find little out about, and this one is no exception. No trailer that I could turn up anywhere on the YouTubes, my usual source for such things, and no Wikipedia page. I will say, the title card is very pretty.
Next, from director Biju Varkey, Orange:
Orange stars Kalabhavan Mani as Yakobi, who works as a truck driver for a dairy -- Orange, apparently, is the name of his truck. I'm rather fond of Kalabhavan Mani, and Orange features another Totally Filmi Casa Favorite, Biju Menon, so this one is definitely on my watch list.
Also this week, a film I've been dying to see for a long while, V.K. Prakash's Karmayogi:
Starring more Casa favorites, this time Indrajith and Nithya Menon, Karmayogi is, of course, based on Shakespeare's Hamlet. I cannot wait for this DVD to come out!
Finally, from director Sugeeth, there is Ordinary:
You know, normally, if you put Kunchacko Boban, Biju Menon, and Asif Ali in a film it will immediately shoot to the top of my must-watch list. But all I can think when I watched that trailer: What the heck have they done to Asif Ali?
