Well, I did manage to make it through all of Abhay Deol's films in time for Aisha (though I wasn't feeling well enough to go see the film on Friday when it opened, my fingers are crossed for sometime this week).
And I will get back to looking at the films in more depth here on the blog shortly. To be honest, I did a write-up for Ahista, Ahista, and found it so dry and tedious that I didn't want to post it. I showed it to the Tech Guy who also found it a little pedantic, but wasn't sure what to tell me. By the time I showed it to Vanessa, I kind of had my finger on what was wrong, and talking it over with Ness, I knew I was on the right track.
So now I just have to fix it. That's coming (as is part two in my series on Saawariya, as is a look at the Govinda film Sandwich, as is.....Sriedevipalooza!)
But in the meantime, I'm very happy to say that I took all my Abhay watching and turned it into a little article for Bollyspice that I called "The Essential Abhay Deol". So, I invite you to take a look at that while I go back to writing about his films in a little more depth here on the blog.
