I think it's very interesting that you didn't write about Shahid or Aiyyaa - personally, I didn't write much about my 2012 viewings but I found that I had written about all my top 5 films when I compiled my list.
Lovely to see that you managed to stay up-to-date with India's recent film though - in contrary to me.

Shahid I understand a little -- it was one of the last films I saw at TIFF this year, and I was really burned out that weekend, had been to a lot of press screenings and had written up so many films that week that I just hit that one and couldn't do it. But it's so worth a write-up.

Aiyya, too. I just can't get past "squee" when I think about it.
