Hindi Films And What Not

The curious case of Frieda Pinto, love her or hate her, she is working. Personally I don't believe she is an actress at all but I do give her credit for making a name for herself even with all the criticism.

You know, I've been mulling her over since watching Trishna. I suspect this film was a case of the right role, the right situation, and a director who knew how to tap into what she does have for the film. For her sake, I'd like to believe it's some sort of growth finally, but I'd be no less surprised to find that this film is the exception. But as you say, she is working, and for many actors that's the key thing.
