Palate Cleanser Week: Rani Mukherjee

You know, I was just thinking the other day that we just don't get enough Rani on our screens.  I am *so* looking forward to Aaiya, the film that will pair her with Malayalam actor Prithviraj (in his Hindi debut), but I realized that traipsing through the YouTubes watching Rani songs is a perfect pick-me-up in the meantime.

Here are just a handful of favorites:

 

"Chail Chhabeela" from Saawariya (and if I may say so, Rani's probably the best thing about the film):

 

 

"Discowale Khisko" from Dil Bole Hadippa:

 

 

"Kangna Re" from Paheli:

 

 

I will confess to having a huge soft spot for the film Chalo Ishq Ladaaya, and the song "Masti Masti" never fails to cheer me up.  (Seriously.  Two of the best smiles in the business.):

 

 

 

And how can you resist double the cuteness, with Rani and Konkona Sen Sharma, in "Hum To Aise Hain" from Laaga Chunari Mein Daag: 

 

 

Finally, there's the Palate Chaser film of all Palate Chaser films, Bunty Aur Babli.  And while I was sorely tempted to show Abhishek Bachchan and Rani being Shiamaked in "Nach Baliye" , I think I'd rather choose to watch "Dhadak Dhadak":

Oh, yes! I actually woke up with the most miserable of summer colds yesterday, and trolling YouTube for Rani videos cheered me up immensely. I swear, I could put together a week's worth of posts on just how much Rani cheers me up.
