Deol Dhamaka!

Deol Dhamaka -- a whole month devoted to the films of the Deol clan in all its extended glory starts March 1st, and I cannot tell you how excited I've been in anticipation!

 

I think maybe we'd all agree that papa Dharmendra is in a whole league of his own -- but that said, it's no secret that my favorite Deol is Sunny, so there'll likely be a heavy emphasis on his films here at Casa Totally Filmi.  Admittedly, part of that is just fate -- way back when this was organized I'd kind of hoped that Mister TF would have found a job by now so I could have ordered a few films to make Deol Dhamaka just a little less Sunny heavy, but that hasn't happened, and when I went to gather up what I did have, either on DVD or taped off of the telly, it turned out that, well, the vast majority of what I have are Sunny films.

Followed by those of cousin Abhay -- I've actually seen most of Abhay's films, and had started writing about them last year -- so I'll likely add some of that into the mix.

But I'm also planning a look at Sunny's dancing, Bobby's hair and how I've come to appreciate it, and him more.  I'll be taking a look at first films -- since that, as some of you know, is one of my obsessions.

And I think I might even play a little game I'm calling Desert Island Deol.  But more on that as Deol Dhamaka rolls out.

I can hardly wait!

I can't wait to read more about Sunny. Admittedly I never really paid him that much attention when I was a kid but post-YPD I am open to some Sunny appreciation :D

OH there'll be NO shortage of Sunny. How I have ended up with an ABUNDANCE of Sunny posts, despite Bobby being my ALLTIME favourite Deol is a MYSTERY.

Yay Deol Dhamaka. Can it just....START already?! LOL
